Over the last few years, I’ve been on an extensive healing process. From my mental and physical health to overall spiritual experiences.
My journey started with one goal: weightloss. I was burdened by my weight for as long as I could remember. The number I saw on the scale haunted me everyday. From diets, to pills, weightloss camps as a child, numerous trainers… nothing stuck. It was a constant battle within myself. Beating on myself with blame and shame for not being able to lose the pounds. I was my biggest enemy.
Trying to starve myself at times which led to binges of whatever I could get my hands on. It was a vicious cycle of fear and self hatred. The truth is, I loved myself through it all. I just couldn't believe anyone could see past my figure, and see Rania for Rania… The idea tortured me. Could they see the soul beyond the vessel? The moment I took control of my health with the help of the most incredible individuals, the guilt game disappeared. The bloodwork, scans, and testing was clear… something beyond my control was occurring in my body. Through every challenge, breakthrough, and moment of self discovery, one lesson has transformed everything for me: life is all about perspective.

The way you choose to see yourself and others, becomes your reality. There are different ways in which you can view life, you can go about your day and say “everyone is going against me” or “everyone is so helpful and teaches me important lessons”.
It all comes down to perception! Whatever you choose to think about yourself, becomes true for you. You hold the power to create unlimited new thoughts and ways of seeing your life. The power is in your hands.

Louise Hay, one of my favorite spiritual teachers and authors, writes, “In the infinity of life where I am, all is well, whole, and complete”. She reminds us that what truly matters is the thought we choose in the present moment!
The moment I stopped seeing myself as a problem to fix and started seeing myself as someone worthy of healing, everything shifted. Perspective is power. The moment you choose to shift your lens, the universe shifts with you. Find the gifts. Even when its hard, there is always something in every experience that is trying to guide you, teach you, or grow you.
From my heart to your heart,
